Ludington Lighthouse

In case you were wondering, the lighthouse does lean toward the water.  Wayyyy back when, the Army Corps of Engineers goofed!!! Really, they told us that when we went up last year.  Makes me chuckle.  2 times they botched it.  The pier on the way out is jacked and doesn't meet square on either.  Hee Hee

Injured brown bat out by the lighthouse.  Apparently they are protected!! Ewwwwwwww!

I can never get the pictures to line up right.  This is actually on the way OUT to the lighthouse.

This is for my dad

This is my piece of driftwood that I found and was gonna bring home.  I forgot it on the beach.  This just reminded me of all of our rocks and wood that we picked up with the intention of painting!! :) Such great and fond memories of our family vacations!!  Who knew that I fell in love with the water, sand and driftwood so many years ago?!!  Thanks for the many hours of combing the shores of Lake Superior and north!!

Some more..............

This is how we enjoy vacation and Ludington!!!

Bryn is quite the photographer!!  This is Big Sauble Lighthouse in Ludington State Park.  A 2 mile walk along the beach which we did last year but NOT this year!! :)

I love this picture of Caden taken by Bryn!! This is just over the dune to the campground.  They took off with the camera and had a blast.

Breakfast, I believe, on the last day in Ludington.  We had a fantastic trip!!

Sleeping Bear Dunes Take 2

Here's where the Platte empties in the Lake.

Wednesday we went to Traverse City!! Yes it was chilly but clear and sunny!

Okay, so Traverse Bay is divided into 2 bays, the west and the east.  In between is a peninsula that is cherry orchards and vineyards.  Supposedly the air and climate is similar to Bordeaux, France!! We drove all the wayto the end to Old Mission Point Lighthouse. Neat little lighthouse.  We climbed up to the top but not much to see.

Vacation 2011...Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore

At the tippy top....Little tiny people down by the water's edge.  You could climb down the dune but then you also had to climb UP the dune.  Tooooo hot that day!!

Same day.....20 minutes later at Sleeping Bear Point Coast Guard Station.  Could see NOTHING because of fog off Lake Michigan.  This is the only place that was like this.

Getting set to tube down the Platte River right into Lake Michigan.  VERY FUN!!!

The 'Stang

I wish this was my graduation gift to Brad!!  2012 Navy Mustang Convertible.  Nothing like tooling around California in my stang!!!! :)

Brad Got it Done.....Now he's a Master!!!!

I found the only available aisle seat in the auditorium.....last row, second seat in.  Here is the graduate getting ready to walk down the aisle.

And, here is proof that they actually gave him his diploma.  I was very proud of him!
