Day 2....still

Tender dock, Belize City!

Spiny iguana sunning itself on a concrete wall.  These were not pets and are a delicacy, fried with plantains.  I would starve if I lived in Belize!! hehehe

We were totally enthralled with the Mayan Ruins.  We were there for several hours, roaming through these massive exspanses of limestone homes and temples.  Such a magnificent sight.

Here we are, standing on top of the Temple looking down on the city.

These boys conned Brad out of "5 dolla" for all three crocs and them in the picture!!
We enjoyed a grand supper in the "Blue Lagoon".

A beautiful evening out on the top deck!

Our elephant friend....good night until Costa Maya!

Day 2..............Belize City, Belize

Our friend, penguin and good night for day 1.

Our first sight of Belize City from 6 miles out.  We docked out in the ocean and took tender boats into the mainland.

Our tender boat or water taxi.

Nowegian Star in the background. Yes it was very windy!!

Day 1......still

Finally headed out of Tampa Bay.  We went under the Sunshine Skyway Bridge out into the ocean.

End of day 1. Watching the sky and sunset. Such a beautiful night.

Rain in the background.  We got a short shower but no big deal.

Day 1 still

In the Grand Atrium....this is one of the Melodic Trio that serenaded us each night!!

The glass elevators from the 4th floor up to the 13th floor.

The Oasis Pool deck on deck 12.

Our first lunch aboard ship.  We were starved by this time.  Hamburgers off the grill...so good!

Anniversary Cruise 2012...Day1

The day started with the alarm clock going off at 3:30 AM on Sunday, March 11....Time change Sunday.  Dad Stille agreed to drive us to the airport for our 6 AM flight to Atlanta and then on to Tampa, FL.  We arrived in great time and found our Norwegian Cruise line rep at the end of the escalators by baggage claim.

We boarded the NCL transport bus to the Tampa Port Authority to board the ship.  The Norwegian Star was our ship.  After an easy embarkation process, we headed up the escalator where they took our picture to sell to us once we were on board.

Here is our first glimpse of the Norwegian Star!!!! We embarked on the 7th level.

It was really cool to see the ship for the first time.  There was a rowdy welcoming party on board waiting as we got on.  The employees were so very kind and helpful.
