Bryn turns "10" on Tuesday, the 23rd!

Our super sweet 10 year old complete with ice cream cake from Dairy Queen!!
All cakes were 1/2 off so we got the extra special one!
Bryn shares a birthday with a very dear friend of ours from church.  We were watching them so their dad and mom could celebrate his birthday with steak dinner. Always fun to have friends to have cake with.
Our new favorite is the Sugar Creek Gang DVDs so daddy found the rest of the set for us.  Topped off the night with 8 new pairs of earrings.  3 from us and 4 from G & G Stille.
Happy Birthday to Brynnie!!  We love you!

Shew!!!  Now the "real" 10 year old party is yet to come and this Mom is birthday-ed out.  Who thought to have 2 kids born in the same month? In the same week only one day less than 3 years apart????

Caden was "7" on Monday, Feb. 22nd!!

Crazy guys waiting for the birthday supper of grilled chicken and mashed taters.

"Just what I wanted!"  It only lasted about an hour before it was so mixed up he couldn't get all the colors back.

The very specific football cake.   He does not seem to realize just how bad of a cake decorator his mom is.
We celebrated with a snow day off school and lots of snowmobiling!!
One down, one more to go tomorrow.
Happy Birthday to my BIG boy now.  I love you little man!

My Pretties!!

Let them be little
Cause they're only that way for a while
Just let them be little.
My beautiful girls God has given us to raise...what a task at times.  I love them and am proud of them for the young ladies they are and pray for the ladies they will become.

Saturday was spent racing in our Truth Trackers Grand Prix.  Many long hours of car making and planning ended in a great day!
Allison's car was the flute and won 3rd place in speed.
Caden's car was the retro racer and won 2nd place in speed.
Bryn's car was our very own volleyball court and won 2nd for design.

I have no pictures, but I really did do it!!

Last night we ventured out without daddy to a church rollerskating activity.  It was not "our" church but one that sends many of its kids to our school.  Daddy is in SC on a Teacher Recruitment trip.  What many of you don't realize is that I don't do these kinds of things without my better half.  First of all we had to go on the interstate during rush hour to get there by 6pm.  The kids all know how to roller blade so they brought their roller blades.  I am iffy on roller skates and Caden is a comacozie on any skate so I made him use his roller blades because I was protecting my self image by not falling down!  So we made it there is record time, only turned around once cuz we missed the street the rink was on.  So....I have already decided that I will NOT be falling down.  I DIDN'T FALL ALL NIGHT!!!  The girls both took a tumble or two.  Comacozie Caden took a tumble or a million.  What a time we had.  The kids loved it and we decided we would do it again.

The not so sunny beach visit

Okay, so funny story.  We are on the beach trying to be brave and take off our sweatshirts so....I want a snack and they have a beach cafe so we go and get french fries.  (The seagulls are insane and a million of them.)  I am quite happy with myself and am strolling back to my beach chair and THOSE STUPID GULLS (a 100 at least) FLY FROM BEHIND ME, DRAGGING THEIR THIEVING TALONS THROUGH MY HAIR AND SNATCH A WHOLE PILE OF MY FRIES AND FILL UP THE REST WITH SAND!!  And yes, of course, I screamed! Stupid birds!!  So we had to sit hunkered over protecting our precious salty snack from those thievin' birds.  Yeah, and my dear friend almost lost a finger as they snatched two fries right out of her hand, spraying ketchup all over in the process.  Any lesson learned? NO!  Gulls are greedy and annoying!
