Day 3....still

We found the crepe station!!!

This is the fountain in the shopping plaza.  We climbed the tower that overlooked the entire plaza and surrounding city.

This is the gorgeous blue water in Costa Maya.  It was soooo blue that it looked fake.  This is the the view of the shopping and pool area from the top deck of the ship as we were waiting to disembark.

Day 3.....Costa Maya, Mexico

We did not plan a shore excursion on day 3 in Costa Maya.  We were able to get on and off the ship whenever we needed too.  We decided to just get off and explore the ship docks with shopping and sodas for cheap!!

We discovered the salt water pool.  We decided to take advantage of the "free" pool and lounge chairs.  We bought chips and salsa, delivered right to our chairs.  Fun!

Day 2....still

Tender dock, Belize City!

Spiny iguana sunning itself on a concrete wall.  These were not pets and are a delicacy, fried with plantains.  I would starve if I lived in Belize!! hehehe

We were totally enthralled with the Mayan Ruins.  We were there for several hours, roaming through these massive exspanses of limestone homes and temples.  Such a magnificent sight.

We enjoyed a grand supper in the "Blue Lagoon".

Day 2..............Belize City, Belize

Our first sight of Belize City from 6 miles out.  We docked out in the ocean and took tender boats into the mainland.

Finally headed out of Tampa Bay.  We went under the Sunshine Skyway Bridge out into the ocean.

End of day 1. Watching the sky and sunset. Such a beautiful night.

Anniversary Cruise 2012...Day1

The day started with the alarm clock going off at 3:30 AM on Sunday, March 11....Time change Sunday.  Dad Stille agreed to drive us to the airport for our 6 AM flight to Atlanta and then on to Tampa, FL.  We arrived in great time and found our Norwegian Cruise line rep at the end of the escalators by baggage claim.

We boarded the NCL transport bus to the Tampa Port Authority to board the ship.  The Norwegian Star was our ship.  After an easy embarkation process, we headed up the escalator where they took our picture to sell to us once we were on board.

Here is our first glimpse of the Norwegian Star!!!! We embarked on the 7th level.

It was really cool to see the ship for the first time.  There was a rowdy welcoming party on board waiting as we got on.  The employees were so very kind and helpful.
